A new website — the Bite Site launches at the second Ohio Regional Tick Symposium on October 12, 2023. The symposium was held at the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center.
The new website serves as a guide to ticks, mosquitoes and other biting pests in Ohio.
Risa Pesapane, assistant professor in the CFAES School of Environment and Natural Resources and the Department of Veterinary Preventative Medicine is one of the contributors to the new website. Dr. Pesapane unveiled the new website during a presentation with Timothy McDermott, DVM, assistant professor and educator, agriculture and natural resources (ANR), Ohio State University Extension at the Symposium.
Visitors to the Bite Site can learn about biting pests in Ohio and how to prevent bites, and find the latest research from experts at The Ohio State University and other helpful information to keep humans and animals safe.
