The Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist (OCVN) Program is making its way to central Ohio. A new chapter will be formed in Delaware County in August 2014. The mission of the OCVN is to promote awareness and citizen stewardship of Ohio's natural resources through science-based education and community service. Participants learn about the biology, ecology and natural history of Ohio from many of the state's leading experts. They also become part of a local and statewide network of dedicated volunteers.
Applications to participate in the inaugural Central Ohio Chapter of the Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist class are currently being accepted. To learn more about the program and participant requirements, view the OCVN Central Ohio Chapter brochure.
