Post Doctoral Scholar Wuhuan Zhang has been awarded the 2024 American Water Resources Association (AWRA) Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Professional Development Scholarship established by the AWRA Board of Directors to bring diverse perspectives and support career advancement of under-represented professionals in the field of water resources and increase representation in AWRA. AWRA is the preeminent multidisciplinary association for information exchange, professional development and education about water resources and related issues. Wuhuan is a postdoctoral scholar in Civil and Environmental Engineering in the School of Environment and Natural Resources, working in Dr. Lyon’s research group to lead the research on monitoring performance of four cascading waterway systems installed in the agricultural landscapes across Ohio to evaluate efficiency in removing nutrients and total suspended sediments from stormwater.
