SENR Highlights

Aquatic Ecosystems Program Director Eugene Braig is a contributing author on Ohio Sea Grant’s “Make Learning to Fish This Year’s Summer Project.”

Faculty member Shoshanah Inwood is quoted in The Daily Record article, “Farm-tastic! Wayne County part of unique agriculture-bolstering project.”

SENR’s Joe Campbell and Matt Hamilton, are part of a collaborating team, who recently received funding from the Sustainability Institute at Ohio State for, “Systemic Interactions between Individuals and Drinking Water Quality in Appalachia.”

FGCU's Everglades Wetland Research Park in Naples FL receives $1 million grant to investigate innovative approach for mitigating harmful algal blooms. Prof Emeritus in SENR Bill Mitsch, who is the director of the Everglades Wetland Research Park is the principal investigator for this collaborative project funded by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, that includes LG Sonic US, Scranton, Pennsylvania and scientists from The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH; University of South Florida, Tampa, FL; and Mote Marine Lab, Sarasota, FL.
