Dr. Mohan Wali will serve as one of the discussants after a screening of the award winning movie “Valley of Saints" at this year's World Science Festival.The World Science Festival, an annual event since 2008 seeks to cultivate a general public informed by science, inspired by its wonder, convinced of its value, and prepared to engage with its implications for the future. Dr. Wali will share insights about the environmental and social issues raised by the film, which is set on Dal Lake, near the Kashmir region of the Indian subcontinent. The film is the winner of the 2012 Alfred P. Sloan Foundation feature film prize at the Sundance Film Festival. The screening is part of the World Science Festival held in New York City.
