Summer is for Stone Lab

Don't miss this opportunity to register for one or more one-of-a-kind summer courses at Stone Lab!

Join Stone Lab this summer and embark on a journey of learning and exploration. Stone Lab – the island campus of The Ohio State University on Lake Erie offers two-day, one-week or four- and six-week science courses all on Gibraltar Island! 

Available courses at Stone Lab include Ecology and Conservation of Birds, a one-week two-credit introductory level course on using research and management to support bird conservation; Introduction to Spatial Information for Environment and Natural Resources, a four-week, three-credit advanced level course for Environmental and Natural Resources management; and Introductory Insect Field Biology, a one-week, 2-credit hour course on the behavior, ecology, and diversity of insects and their relatives.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, Stone Lab will be providing a 50% departmental discount on the room and meal fees of all students enrolled in for-credit Stone Lab courses for the Summer 2025 semester.
