Town Hall focuses on climate and the future of agriculture

SENR Professor Douglas Jackson-Smith was an invited panelist on the Great Lakes Now Virtual Town Hall: Climate and the Future of Agriculture streamed live on March 19, 2025.

During the town hall, Jackson-Smith joined other panelists to discuss the future of agriculture in the Great Lakes region and beyond. The discussion was moderated by Anna Sysling with an excerpt from Weathered, a show airing on PBS.

 

 

Douglas Jackson-SmithDouglas Jackson-Smith is the Kellogg Chair of Agroecosystem Management in The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) and leads a $10 million project funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, “From the Ground Up”, which centers farmers as the leaders of innovation and adaptation and emphasizes farmer-led decision-making to achieve practical real-world solutions that deliver the results farmers, and society needs.
