Water reuse – as a solution to balance economic development with environmental sustainability is the focus of the March 25 Environmental Professionals Network (EPN) breakfast program.
The program, “Water Reuse for Ohio’s Future: Implications for advanced industry, land conservation, and resource efficiency” brings together a cross-disciplinary panel of leaders in water management, conservation, and reuse to discuss Ohio’s current water reuse projects and the implications for future applications to bolster regional natural resource and economic sustainability.
“At the EPN, we try to carve out a space to discuss up-and-coming sustainability strategies that would benefit from increased visibility and discussion; water reuse is a strategy that is poised to help preserve our region’s water resources, which is important considering the recent surge in industrial development in Central Ohio,” ,” said Harrison Fried, director of the EPN.
The event held at the Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center is in coordination with the Water Management Association of Ohio (WMAO), the Ohio Water Resources Center, the federally authorized and state-designated Water Resources Research Institute for the State of Ohio and TerrAqua, a student-led organization affiliated with WMAO.
Attendees will have the option to register for an extended two-hour (in person) session for professionals seeking CEU/PDH credit on overcoming challenges for implementing water reuse projects across the state. Full details on the program and how to register available here.
