Urban Soils and Ecosystem Services: Assessment and Restoration, a course offered through the School of Environment and Natural Resources (SENR) is featured in The Lantern article, “Ohio State course gets students involved in urban development.”

The story written by Zach Grader is part of The Lantern’s Engaged Scholars stories and shares how students evaluate urban soils in urban communities and determine steps for a return to fertility. The student's reports are shared with Columbus’ Land Redevelopment Division.

The course is taught by SENR faculty members Nick Basta and Brian Slater.
