Walls are Moving at the Wetlands and More News!

March 8, 2013

Within the Heffner Wetland Research Building, classroom renovations have commenced and will be completed by late April.  In addition to a new wet-lab conversion, joint faculty and student spaces are also being added and the conference room will receive some needed furniture upgrades.

Also, congratulations to SENR faculty members, Dr. Lauren Pintor and Dr. Mazeika Sullivan for securing a $30,000 Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC) Equipment Grant for renovation of the Mesocosm Area.  We hope to have the basins functional by late spring and in use this growing season. Despite construction, the facility continues to be a popular venue for local NGO outreach events and professional meetings.  If you are interested in reserving space for an upcoming meeting or event, contact Lynn McCready.
