Youth Experience and Learn about Ohio’s Natural Resources

June 26, 2013
SENR’s Marne Titchenell, wildlife program specialist with OSU Extension spends one week at camp every June exposing youth to the science, beauty and opportunity within Ohio’s natural resources.  Titchenell co-directs the annual Ohio Forestry and Wildlife Conservation Camp with Jeremy Scherf, a service forester with the Ohio Division of Forestry, and Ryan Waid, Cambridge, Ohio-based procurement forester with Glatfelter paper company.  The camp first started in 1950 and is sponsored by the Ohio Forestry Association.  Read more about this year's camp and how participating youth are impacted in a recent article published in the Farm and Dairy (6/20) by Susan Crowell and view a video from this year’s camp here.
