Visit by USDA Acting Deputy Secretary

On Thursday, May 30, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Acting Deputy Secretary, Michael Scuse, made a visit to the Wilma H. Schiermeier Olentangy River Wetland Research Park. Accompanied by Bruce McPheron, Vice President for Agricultural Administration, and Dean of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, and Ron Hendrick, former Director of the School of Environment and Natural Resources, Scuse was given a tour of the research park and its' facilities. Several members of SENR gave short presentations on the work being done in soil conservation, wetland protection and for the preservation of Ohio's natural resources. Read the details of this visit.
