Climate Reality Project

Name: Keyana Aghamirzadeh

Specialization: Pre-Law

Internship: Climate Reality Project

How did you become involved with Climate Reality Project?

I was approached by one of their organizers my first semester at Ohio State and ended up helping start a chapter here at Ohio State. I've been actively involved with the Climate Reality Project Campus Corps ever since. I am an intern at the Climate Reality Project office, and the Vice President of the Ohio State student chapter.

What advice do you have for students interested in getting involved?

I would strongly encourage anyone interested in getting involved to come to our meetings! We meet every Monday night at 7:00pm (locations vary) or email climaterealityprojectosu@gmail.com with questions. It is very easy to become involved with the club and the group overall.

What skills have you gained from this internship?

I have gained an amazing sense of community and leadership skills from this position. Leadership is important in the environmental action field. I am constantly surprised at how much can be accomplished with determination, dedication, and collaboration. This position has helped me realize my strengths and strengthen my weaknesses in a work environment. Volunteering, or volunteer based internships are an excellent way to gain experience, and work to improve your organizational and interaction skills in a work environment.
