Christa joins SENR with over 20 years of research administration experience. Prior to her current role Christa worked in the College of Engineering as a Senior Sponsored Programs Officer and more recently as a Grants Coordinator for the Computer Science and Engineering Department.
Christa will work closely with the School Director, Cost Center Manager, and Research Committee to manage and administer sponsored projects for the School of Environment and Natural Resources. In this role, she provides pre- and post-award support to SENR Principal Investigators, including identifying funding opportunities, reviewing proposal budgets for compliance, providing project budget analysis and projections, tracking cost-share commitments, and overseeing project personnel appointments. Christa also assists with identifying and resolving project overruns, and reviewing and approving research expenditures.
Christa has attended training and conferences through the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) and the Society for Research Administrators (SRA). She earned her BA with Honors from OSU and graduated Summa Cum Laude with majors in Portuguese and International Studies.
Outside of her professional life, Christa enjoys traveling, gardening, snowboarding and cross-country skiing.
