As a first-generation farmer focused on production for her own farm’s line of value-added products, Kate brings over 10 years of first-hand experience to the NEO-AIC. Known throughout the Central Ohio region as a resource for peers and a frequent presenter at area agricultural conferences, she holds a particular passion for farm viability and holistic business practices. Kate has been the primary project manager for USDA Rural Development Value-Added Producer grants, a S.A.R.E farmer-rancher grant, regional Central Ohio agricultural grants, and a Finlandia Foundation National award. Outside of work hours, you can find Kate engaged in fiber arts of all kinds, foraging, and other creative pursuits.
