Career Summary
Peck has worked in local, state, and federal agencies in a variety of capacities including serving for 8 years as Deputy Chief of Ohio State Parks and 21 years as Deputy Director with Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks. In these positions, he has been involved in all facets of natural resources administration including park operations and law enforcement, budgetting, personnel management, capital improvements, and policy and procedure development and implementation. For approximately 10 years, he has served as the legislative chair for the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association and been involved in extensive work with the Ohio General Assembly on legislation related to the parks and recreation field. He has made numerous presentations at professional conferences in a variety of areas including urban deer management, legislative advocacy, law enforcement, and park operations.
