While there she spent a semester abroad in Luxemburg, where she was bitten by the travel bug and set the life goal of visiting every continent (plus miscellaneous islands!). Always motivated by helping others, she served two and a half years in the Peace Corps in Guatemala as an environmental volunteer. She then became an official Buckeye (as well as an SENR/CFAES alum) by earning dual Master of Science degrees here at OSU in Environmental Education, Communication and Interpretation and Agricultural Education/Communication. After spending a year as an education specialist in the Galapagos Islands, she returned to Ohio and began her career in academic advising. She found her perfect fit with SENR, where she has served undergraduates as an academic advisor and as the first coordinator of the ENR Scholars program. In November 2021 she transitioned to a program manager position, working with SENR graduate students in the MENR professional master’s degree and other professional practice programs, such as the Environmental Assessment Certificate. Susie is also a co-resident advisor for SENR’s global education program to Iceland. Principal Responsibilities Susie’s responsibilities include recruiting and advising MENR and EA Certificate students, and managing both programs in general, including the MENR seminar and internship courses. She also serves as a general back-up for the SENR Graduate Studies Program Manager. Works - Any -Journal articleBook/book chapterReportWorking paperPolicy briefPresentationData
