The 6th Annual Environmental Science Student Symposium is in the Archie M. Griffin Grand Ballroom at the Ohio Union. In its sixth year, the symposium will feature three sessions with approximately 385 student presenters from ENR 2100, who will be sharing their posters on important topics in the field of environmental science. The event is free and open to the public. Students in the online section of the course will be engaged in a Virtual Environmental Science Poster Symposium through Carmen.

A second volume of Environmental ScienceBites written by undergraduate students at The Ohio State University is now available on Apple iBooks and as a Pressbook. The 172-page e-book is for those interested in learning about and discovering sustainable solutions to our most pressing environmental challenges. Published January 31st – the free open textbook edited by School of Environment and Natural Resources (SENR) e-learning educators Ella Weaver and Kylienne Clark Shaul and SENR alum Travis Shaul is a compilation of student-authored chapters that describe and investigate critical environmental issues important to students at The Ohio State University.

Nearly 1,000 students at The Ohio State University have prepared scientific posters about Earth’s biggest challenges for the university’s 2017 Environmental Science Student Symposium. Among those students, about 400 will present their work in person at the event, which is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Archie M. Griffin Grand Ballroom in Ohio State’s Ohio Union, 1739 N. High St., in Columbus. Admission is free and open to the public. This is the fifth year that Ohio State students enrolled in ENR 2100, an introductory environmental science course offered by the School of Environment and Natural Resources (SENR), will present posters on their final projects. The symposium program is available online at go.osu.edu/2017ESSS. SENR is part of the university’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.

About 700 students will display science posters about Earth’s biggest challenges at the 2015 Environmental Science Student Symposium at The Ohio State University. The event goes from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24, in Ohio State’s Ohio Union Performance Hall, 1739 N. High St., in Columbus. Admission is free and open to the public. This year marks the fourth year that Ohio State students enrolled in ENR 2100, an introductory environmental science course offered by the School of Environment and Natural Resources (SENR), will present posters on their final projects. The projects cover pressing topics such as desertification, biodiversity, water quality, fossil fuels and more. The course attracts a wide range of students, with nearly every major at the university represented in the course.

Please join us for the second annual Environmental Science Student Symposium in the Ohio Union’s Archie Griffin Ballroom on the campus of The Ohio State University. Students from ENR 2100 – Introduction to Environmental Science will present scientific research findings through a poster to their peers and the public. This year, the symposium will feature over 600 student presentations ranging across hundreds of topics in environmental science.
