    Jill Jentes Banicki, assistant director and communications coordinator of Ohio Sea Grant and Stone Laboratory was recognized by the National Sea Grant Communications Network with the 2021 Communications Service Award.

    The North Central Region Water Network’s (NCRWN) Algal Bloom Action Team receives the Outstanding Regional Collaboration Achievement Award from The Association of Natural Resource Extension Professionals (ANREP).

    Eugene Braig, aquatic ecosystems program director for The Ohio State University’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES), is both a member of the recognized action team and played an active role in coordinating and moderating the symposium.

    Three students in the School of Environment and Natural Resources have been recognized for their leadership. The Lee Johnston Leadership Award recognizes School of Environment and Natural Resources (SENR) undergraduate students who demonstrate outstanding student leadership and involvement in the SENR.  Recipients receive a framed certificate recognizing their achievements and a scholarship award.  We are very excited to recognize and honor our undergraduate student leaders in the School of Environment and Natural Resources.

    Jerry Bigham, professor emeritus and former director of the School of Environment and Natural Resources was recognized with the Meritorious Service Award at the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) Alumni Society's annual awards program on March 7, 2020.

    Congratulations to School of Environment and Natural Resources graduate student Joshua T. Fergen, lead author on “"Out Where the West Begins: Measuring Land-Use Preferences and Environmental Attitudes across the Great Plains," and recipient of the 2019 Leslie Hewes Award for best social science paper in Volume 28 of Great Plain Research.  Jeffrey B. Jacquet (SENR), Anne Junod (SENR) and Matthew Barnett (alumnus) are co-authors on the paper.
