TerrAqua received the Rachel Carson Award for Civic Engagement at the 5th Annual Civic Engagement Banquet on Tuesday, October 23. Hosted by the Office of Student Life at The Ohio State University the banquet recognizes those in our community making great changes and impacts in civic engagement and service. TerrAqua was recognized for their outreach and enrichment work at Hidden Lake.

Out of 43 posters in the agriculture/environmental science category, SENR undergraduate researchers Rachel Hefflinger and Elisabeth Nadler's posters were awarded top honors at this year's annual Denman Undergraduate Research Forum on March 26 on the campus of The Ohio State University.

Held at the Ohio Union on the Ohio State University campus on April 4, 2013 the 60th Annual Recognition Banquet for the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences and themed "the winner's circle" celebrated and recognized the achievements of undergraduates, faculty and staff. Fourteen SENR undergraduates received awards or scholarships, two SENR students were recognized as top 20 seniors, which honors those who have actively promoted their College/School and University by extensive participation and leadership in extracurricular activities. Nine out of 18 SENR undergraduates were recognized as Newcomb Scholars, and four SENR students were awarded the 2013 Lee Johnston Leadership Award, which provides scholarships to junior or senior students in natural resources who possess leadership skills and maintain active participation in student/professional organizations within the School.
