This coming Monday, November 18 from 8:30am to 12:30pm, you're invited to attend the Midwest Powering our Future Forum at the Athletic Club of Columbus (136 E Broad St).Hosted by Consumer Energy Alliance, Nucor and Babcock & Wilcox, the forum will bring together elected officials, consumers, and stakeholders from the utility and manufacturing sectors to discuss the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) proposed regulations to limit greenhouse gas emissions from power plants and the impacts they may have on the region's consumers, electricity generation and economy.Some of the region's most respected leaders and executives will discuss a wide array of topics including: the future of coal-fired generation, opportunities for other electricity sources like nuclear, natural gas and renewable energy, potential consumer impacts and the future of affordable and reliable electrical supply across the region.
Attendance is FREE but registration is required. Both a continental breakfast and lunch will be served.
